Private and group tutoring (up to 3 students total) will take place through the Zoom application which allows Lynne to help students all over the U.S.
Students can share their class information through Zoom and both teacher and student(s) can write on the meeting screen to demonstrate mathematical processes. Typically, students meet at the same time and same day each week for 1 hour sessions. This one hour can be utilized and chosen by the student or teacher to be a combination of a lecture on a current topic, reviewing/completing homework, reviewing quizzes/tests or preparing for quizzes/tests. Students will be completing the work with the tutor's guidance. Any online tests/quizzes must be completed solely by students on their own time.
My name is Lynne. I am a credentialed math teacher from San Diego, California. I taught in two public high schools before starting my family; my husband and I have five children. I was blessed to stay at home with all of my kids and began private math tutoring upon the arrival of my second child. I homeschooled all five of my children up until they reached high school. My seven year experience as a public school teacher, 24 year experience as a private tutor and 21 year experience as my children's teacher, gives me the competency and knowledge needed to help all math students ranging from Elementary through Calculus BC/II in high school or college. (This includes public, private and homeschooled education along with multiple different curriculums: Integrated Mathematics, CPM Common Core, Calculus of a Single Variable, Saxon to mention a few).
In my free time I love playing soccer, running, working out, playing Pickleball and spending time with my family. I also breathe new life into second-hand furniture by reupholstering chairs and sofas. See my DIY projects at the back of my website.
